A Family Medical Practice in Wollongong
Illawarra General Practice is a bulk billing family medical practice at 13 Market Street in the Wollongong CBD. We provide general practice care for individuals and families from Wollongong and across the Illawarra, from babies and children through to older adults.
Consultations are bulk billed for patients with a valid Medicare card. Some procedures may incur a small fee, which we'll always discuss with you before treatment.

Seeing the same GP over time means your doctor understands your history, your medications and what matters to you. We encourage patients to choose a regular GP at our practice, and we participate in MyMedicare, the Australian Government program that links you with your usual practice.
Care that fits your circumstances
Your GP will take time to understand your concerns, explain your options in plain language and work with you on a plan that suits your health and your life. Where you need it, your doctor can refer you to specialists, allied health professionals or other services in the Illawarra and help coordinate your care.

Our Team
Our team of GPs is supported by practice nurses who help with health checks, immunisations and wound care. You can choose your preferred doctor when you book.

We're located on Market Street in the Wollongong CBD, making us easy to reach for people who live, work or study in and around the city centre. We're open seven days, with weekday appointments from 9:00am to 5:00pm and weekend morning appointments on Saturday and Sunday.

Yes. Our patients come from Wollongong and other parts of the Illawarra. You don't need to live locally to become a patient at our practice.
