Dr Mahesh Ramalingam MBBS FRACGP MRCGP DRCOG Specialist in General Practice

Mahesh is a UK trained GP with 18 years of experience in NHS – UK healthcare system and a doctor since 1997 and a GP since 2006.

He practises patient centred consultations and strives to explore the ideas, concerns and expectations of the patients and how it affects them.

He believes strongly in ethical and evidence-based medicine. He has wide experience in all aspects of general practice. He has a passion for mental health in childhood, adolescence, adult and in the elderly.
He provides extensive chronic disease management and Indigenous Health Care.

He was born in Tamil Nadu, India. He completed his MBBS from the esteemed Madras Medical College (est. 1835). He went to the United Kingdom in 2001 to further his career. He has worked under various medical and surgical specialities and decided to pursue his post-graduation in general practice. He completed his Post-Graduate Training in General Practice from The South Cumbria GP Training which is part of Manchester Deanery.

In the UK, he was a trainer for medical students, junior doctors, GP trainees and appraiser for GPs. He moved to and has been working in the Illawarra since 2017.
